Investments.
We bring the same uncompromising level of trust established by our residential professionals to the commercial sector. Achieve recognized proficiency through rigorous coursework and proctored examinations.
A Strategic Educational Alliance. Inspector Nation has proudly partnered with Gregory Enterprises and The Home Inspection Training Center (THITC) to deliver an elite commercial inspection curriculum.
Commercial inspections performed by an IN Commercial Inspector provide a highly detailed survey of the general condition of the building base. To ensure the highest quality of service, our professionals must prove their knowledge through comprehensive classroom training and a mandatory in-class examination.
Operating exclusively under the IN Standards of Practice for Commercial Inspection (IN-SOP-D-COMMERCIAL-11).
Three Tiers of Commercial Proficiency
Every IN Commercial Inspector must demonstrate their capability by passing a rigorous, in-class exam following our specialized training curriculum. Candidates can achieve three distinct levels of recognition:
Level 1 Proficiency
Demonstrates a strong foundational understanding of commercial building base systems, structural integrity, and standard commercial reporting protocols for buildings up to 18,000 square feet.
Level 2 Proficiency
Signifies advanced competency in navigating complex commercial properties, specialized mechanical systems, and expanded liability awareness for buildings up to 36,000 square feet.
Master Level Proficiency
The terminal commercial certification. Represents a complete, absolute mastery of the IN Commercial SOP and the ability to survey demanding commercial investments up to 72,000 square feet.
What You Will Be Qualified to Inspect
According to the IN Commercial SOP, our certified inspectors are qualified to inspect a wide variety of commercial properties. The certification prepares you to evaluate buildings used for:
- Offices and Retail spaces
- Healthcare and Educational facilities
- Assembly and Manufacturing buildings
- Multifamily buildings with four or more dwelling units
- Individually owned commercial units within multi-owner buildings
Note: Institutional Group I, High Hazard Group H, and certain specialty structures are excluded from this standard.
Standardized Commercial Reporting
The Inspector Nation Commercial SOP requires inspectors to utilize a strict reporting structure for compliance. Every deficiency must be carefully documented by:
- Describing the system or component.
- Stating how the condition is defective.
- Explaining the implications of the condition.
- Directing the client to a course of action for repair or further investigation.
To make compliance seamless, we provide a dedicated Commercial Inspection template directly within IRBpro Cloud Software. This template is pre-built with the exact structure needed for compliance, ensuring your narratives are highly professional and strictly aligned with the IN Commercial Standards of Practice.
