GE does not sell, trade, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal or business data to external marketing entities or third parties under any circumstances. We keep all collected data strictly to ourselves within our internal operations, except as necessary to provide underlying hosting, secure cloud infrastructure, and transaction processing required to deliver our products and services to you.
This policy discloses the privacy and data handling practices for IRBpro Software, insamplesite, Inspector Nation, InField Pass, and affiliated GE websites and digital applications. We use the information we collect about you from our websites and mobile platforms to process orders, deliver software functionality, maintain accounts, and maintain a relationship with you throughout the use of our products and services. It is our intent to give you as much control as possible over your privacy and personal information and the use we make of it in our business. This policy is subject to change, so please check back from time to time to stay informed.
What kinds of personal and platform information does GE collect?
In general, you can visit IRBpro Software, insamplesite, or Inspector Nation on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. We ask for information from you in several ways across our different applications and Web platforms:
• We ask for personal information from you when you become a registered user, enroll in education, license software, or register as a mentor or student. At that time, GE asks for certain required information such as your name, e-mail address, company name, address, phone number, state licensing credentials, and other information to process and fulfill your request. We also request certain other optional information that will help us meet your personal needs. We will let you know what information is optional, and you decide whether or not you want to provide that information.
• When you use our report-writing platforms, cloud services, and mobile applications, you may input or sync inspection reports, photos, videos, client details, contracts, schedules, and custom narrative data. GE stores this information strictly to provide software functionality and backup synchronization to your account. We do not sell, share, or use your private inspection or client data for external commercial purposes.
• For users of inspector websites hosted by GE, the Inspector may ask for personal information from you when you fill out a request or quote form. At that time, the Inspector whom the site is hosted for receives this information. GE does not receive this information and assumes no responsibility for how this information is used. GE requests that Inspectors GE provides hosting for provide the same policies as GE for visitors and users of their sites. You must decide whether or not you want to provide any information to an inspector website hosted by GE.
• In the course of using our sites and web apps, we automatically track certain information about you. This information includes what type of browser you are using, device operating system, network status, app versions, and IP address. This information may include the URL that you just came from and the next URL you go to, regardless of whether these URLs are on our Web site or not. GE uses this information for system administration, to maintain system security, identify demographic trends, and provide information tailored to your interests.
• For two-sided marketplace platforms (such as InField Pass), contact, scheduling, and profile details are shared between the booked mentor and student inspector solely to coordinate and fulfill the ride-along inspection.
• If you send us personal correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We also periodically ask users for feedback that we use to improve our service and products and add new features. If you respond to these requests, we may keep a record of your response.
• We also collect IP addresses and system diagnostics for system administration, cloud storage integrity, and program monitoring.
How does GE use my information?
We collect personal and platform information to help us provide you a high quality user experience, and to aid GE in understanding our customers better. GE does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.
• The personal information you choose to give us allows GE to process and fulfill your requests. We would also use that information should you choose to order our products and services to process and fulfill your order, license software, deliver mobile app sync services, and notify you of your order status.
• We use the personal information you give us to provide you with up-to-date information about GE products, software updates, and services.
• We may use the information we collect to notify you from time to time about important functionality changes to the Web site or apps, new GE services and products, and special offers we think you will find valuable.
• When you provide us with personal information to enter a contest or promotion sponsored by GE or its partners, we use this information to administer the contest and notify winners. We store all information relating to such contests and promotions.
• For our training and certification platforms, we use your educational records to maintain transcripts, log proctored exam scores, track credential renewals, and issue certificates.

Do I have a choice about how my information is gathered, used and distributed?
Yes. When you register as a Client with GE, you can choose to receive newsletters, information, and e-mails from GE. Some of our promotions may request your e-mail address so that you can receive periodic updates about the status of the promotion. When you participate in these types of promotions, you will automatically receive promotion-related e-mail; however, you can choose the no-e-mail option that some promotions offer.
You can make decisions about cookies. You can modify your browser preferences to accept all cookies, be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you decide to reject all cookies, you cannot participate in GE services that require registration or login to participate.
We will notify you any time we want to transfer the data we have collected or share it with a third party, and you always have the option to forbid the transfer.

• Maintain active session security across web portals and administrative dashboards.
• Estimate the size of our audience. Each browser that accesses GE is given a unique cookie, which is used to calculate how many people return to our Web site, compare the number of registered and unregistered visitors to our site, and improve site performance.
• Measure the traffic to various areas of the GE Web site and apps in the aggregate. This research helps us understand the ways in which our customers are alike and the ways in which they differ to personalize information and design.
